Privacy policy
The short version for parents. Children use a one-word nickname, never a full name. We don’t show ads, we don’t use third-party trackers, we don’t sell or rent anyone’s information, and the app never uses the microphone or camera. You can download or delete your child’s data at any time from the grown-up dashboard.
1. Who we are
67Challenger is an educational service for children in kindergarten through grade 8, owned and operated by CloudOneSoftware LLC, Jersey City, New Jersey, United States (“we”). Questions: contact@cloudonesoftware.com.
2. What we collect
About a child
- A one-word nickname and a grade band (K–2, 3–5 or 6–8), entered by a parent or teacher.
- Learning activity: lessons tried, answers right or wrong, time practiced, stars and badges.
- Checks a grown-up scores (for example, words read correctly in one minute) and settings a grown-up chooses (session length, supports).
We don’t ask children for their name, email, address, photos or voice, and children can’t type messages to other people.
About a parent or teacher
- Email address and a password (stored only as a one-way hash), or the identifier Apple or Google gives us when you choose “Sign in with Apple” or “Continue with Google.”
- Reminder preferences, time zone, and the phone’s push-notification token if you turn on notifications in the app.
- Subscription status from Stripe, the App Store or Google Play. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Messages you send us.
Collected automatically
Basic technical information needed to run and secure the service, such as IP address (used briefly for rate limiting and abuse prevention) and error reports. We don’t use advertising identifiers or analytics trackers.
3. How we use it
To run the lessons and choose the next one, to show progress to the child’s parent or teacher, to send the reminders a grown-up asked for, to keep accounts secure, to process subscriptions, and to meet legal obligations. We don’t use children’s information for advertising or to build marketing profiles.
4. AI assistants
Lessons are written and checked by us; children are not chatting with an AI. A parent or teacher may choose to connect their own AI assistant to their account with a connection key they create. That assistant can only read (or, if allowed, change) the information that grown-up already manages, and the grown-up can revoke the key at any time.
5. Who we share it with
We don’t sell, rent or trade personal information. We share limited information only with service providers that run parts of the service for us, under contracts that limit their use of it:
| Provider | What for |
|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Hosting, database and network security |
| Stripe | Web payments and tax (as merchant of record) |
| Apple and Google | In-app purchases and Sign in with Apple / Google, when you use them |
| Resend | Sending the emails a grown-up asked for |
| Expo | Delivering push notifications to a parent’s phone |
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect a child’s safety.
6. Parents’ rights (COPPA)
A parent creates the account and decides what their child uses. From the grown-up dashboard you can review your child’s information, download it, delete a child’s profile and all of their data, sign other devices out, or delete the whole family account. You can also email contact@cloudonesoftware.com and we’ll help within 7 business days. When a school uses 67Challenger, the school may give consent on parents’ behalf for educational use, and parents can contact the school or us to review or delete their child’s information.
7. Security and how long we keep data
Information is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is limited, sign-in attempts are rate-limited, and every change made through an AI connection key is logged. We keep information while the account is active. When you delete a child or the account, we delete their data from our systems right away; backups roll off within 30 days. Payment records may be kept by the payment provider as the law requires.
8. Other privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the CCPA/CPRA (California), GDPR or UK GDPR, including the right to access, correct, delete or move your information and to complain to a regulator. Email us to use them.
9. Changes
If we make a material change, we’ll update this page and tell parents by email or in the app before it takes effect.
